Rationale:
The process to delegate verification of product to a supplier varies, especially at the second, third, or fourth tier of an organization's aerospace supply chain. Lack of standardization increases risk in the aerospace supply chain where product verification has been delegated without adequate assessment and oversight of the supplier's capability.
