1752: Materials Declaration Management

Summary

IPC-1752 has been revised to support important enhancements such as the ability to declare multiple parts in a single declaration. Additionally, IPC-1752 has been revised to address the REACH Regulation and China RoHS. Updates have also been made to the RoHS exemptions and JIG declaration lists. Additionally, revisions in the design of IPC-1752 will improve the ability to provide further updates and changes to the standard as the regulations and lists of chemicals of concern change. Due to the committee’s decision to focus on the data exchange standard as well as reported difficulties with the IPC 1752-1 and 1752-2 pdf forms, the 1752-1 and 1752-2 forms were not updated with the A revision and will not be updated in subsequent revisions. Instead, the committee has worked very closely with NIST and a number of solution providers to develop a wide range of tools that can be used to crease IPC-1752A declarations.
