It applies to various blockchain-based carbon trading systems, including but not limited to national or regional carbon emission trading systems, voluntary emission reduction project trading platforms, as well as internal corporate or industry alliance carbon trading applications.

The standard specifies a blockchain-based data framework for carbon trading and data format of transaction subject (vendor or entity) information, transaction product information, transaction behavior information, transaction data signatures, and other extended fields related to carbon trading.
The purpose of this standard is to provide a unified standard for the storage and management of carbon emission data trading. It aims to enhance the security, transparency, and traceability of carbon emission data trading, and to contribute to the establishment of a more secure, transparent, and traceable trading system.
