IEEE Draft Standard for a Blockchain-based Energy Metaverse Application Model, Framework, and Requirements
Summary
New IEEE Standard - Active - Draft.
This standard outlines the technical framework and application requirements for blockchain-based energy metaverse systems, encompassing the perception layer, network layer, platform layer, and application layer.
This standard defines an application model and a technical framework for the construction of a blockchain-based energy metaverse. This standard also specifies technical and function requirements of an energy blockchain system and application scenarios in the energy industry.
The purpose of this standard is to guide the development of blockchain systems for energy metaverse applications, and to guide the application of blockchain technology in energy metaverse scenarios, to solve the identity authentication problem of the large number of power market entities, and to assist in building an energy metaverse suitable for new power systems, which increasingly deploy distributed energy resources (DER) such as wind, solar/photovoltaics and energy storage to produce clean energy.
