Based on the end-edge-cloud collaboration characteristics of the digital retina system (DRS), the DRS faces multidimensional security and privacy risks. This standard specifies the aspects of a framework for security and privacy protection, the security and privacy protection baseline requirements applicable to subsystems, the principles for security and privacy classification and grading levels, and the security and privacy requirements of DRS.
In specifying security levels and security requirements for applications, interfaces, and data processing of digital retina systems (DRS), this standard improves a DRS's stability and recovery capability. Furthermore, this standard specifies privacy protection requirements. Following these requirements helps to prevent unauthorized devices, organizations, or individuals to access to private data. This standard provides supplementary security and privacy protection requirements for DRS based on the architecture defined in IEEE 3161 Standard. This standard also provides guidance for other parts of DRS standards to safeguard system and data.
DRS is composed of a variety of interconnected subsystems, each of which transmits multiple data streams. In practice, security requirements for applications, interfaces, data processing can support the reliable function and collaborative work of end, edge, and cloud subsystems, and strengthen systems’ capability to resist multiple security threats in various environments.
The purpose of this standard is to provide both multi-level security and privacy protection requirements to industry stakeholders. This standard provides security and privacy protection requirements to DRS, so as to build DRS defense capabilities and strengthen the protection capability of sensitive information in various scenarios.
