IEEE Draft Standard for Data Requirements for Internet of Food Systems

Summary

New IEEE Standard - Active - Draft.
The standard develops data specifications for Internet of Food (IoF) system implementations. The unified data requirements underpin data sharing and interoperability within complex food supply chains. Data structure, coding scheme are also defined to help ensure interoperable, agile, and scalable network solutions and service delivery, and enables better traceability of food, leading to increased food safety.

This standard develops data specifications for Internet of Food (IoF) system implementations. To help ensure interoperable, agile, and scalable network solutions and service delivery the standard also defines a data structure, a coding scheme, and a reference information model for IoF applications.
The purpose of this standard is to enable interoperability through a standardized data structure and reference information model for IoF systems.
