The ASME Y14 series
The ASME Y14 series of standards was designed to guide through the entire product development process. From design to delivery, the ASME Y14 series enables industry experts to provide solutions that meet, or even exceed industry performance requirements.
The series' language and methodology serve as the foundation of most modern computer-aided design (CAD), manufacturing, and inspection software. Equipped with the ASME Y14 series, gain access to the fundamental rules and models used by the industry worldwide.
The ASME Y14 series is organized into four subject areas in order to address every aspect of product development: engineering drawing, industrial product definition, mechanisms and devices, and finally, symbols and abbreviations.
The standards in the ASME Y14 series are available in retail. You can also find them in two collections of ASME's subscription: the GD&T collection and the Additive Manufacturing Standards collection.
