German "VG" standards are technical standards applied primarily in the German armaments and defense sector. They cover product specifications, test methods, and technical requirements for equipment often used by the Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) or in the military market. This federal agency develops or commissions the development of VG standards in collaboration with technical committees—notably through the DIN Standardization Committee (DIN-Normenausschuss Elektrische…), which manages technical development within the Deutsches Institut für Normung (DIN).
