The Aerospace and Defense Industries Association of Europe-Standardization (ASD-STAN) is an associated body to CEN (European Committee for Standardization) for Aerospace Standards. ASD-STAN is also recognized as the European body for the development and publication of global aerospace quality standards by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG).
Through their standards related to the design, production and maintenance of aircrafts systems, they develop effective support systems and exceed quality standards.
It is a strategic and economic tool for companies who wish to reduce their costs, reinforce or enter markets. Standards are used by the industry to ensure transparent and distinct communication between the customer, manufacturer and authorities. They are also the basis for certification and therefore contribute in making the aviation industry safer. |
