This standard describes the alpha point to delta point physical interface portions of the 10GFC Fibre Channel
and 10 GbE serial electrical and optical link variants that support the higher level Fibre Channel and
Ethernet protocols. This standard is recommended for new implementations but does not obsolete existing
Fibre Channel standards.
