Détails
Iso 26262 "Road vehicles – Functional Safety - Part 3: Concept phase", published in 2011, requires the implementation of a hazard analysis and risk assessment for the function to be developed at an early stage of development. Hazards that can arise from conceivable malfunctions are analyzed with regard to their risk, this risk is classified, and requirements for the product and its development are derived from it. The requirements are classified and designated as ASIL (Automotive Safety Integrity Level). 4 classes are distinguished: ASIL A – D, where D is the highest and A is the lowest integrity class.
The integrity class is determined by assessing a hazardous situation with regard to the potential extent of damage (parameter S "severity"), the probability of a relevant situation (parameter E "exposure") and a possible controllability (parameter C "controllability"). From these parameters, which in turn are divided into classes, the ASIL is determined from an assignment table.
