Although great strides have been made in paint shop Clean Rooms, there are still major opportunities to improve the process and in particular within the design and construction of the paint circulation and paint supply system designs. This paper will explore some areas often overlooked that contribute to paint contamination and defects created by dirt in systems. The paper was developed around the theme and explores areas for significant improvements in reducing pressure drops and shear, smooth bore systems, elimination of exposed threads and drill or machining pockets in all paint wetted surfaces.
