Détails
The CDMG PHY supports a 1.08 GHz channel width in comparison with the DMG PHY in Clause 20, which supports a 2.16 GHz channel width. As many aspects of CDMG PHY are the same as DMG PHY, this clause mainly lists the new features corresponding to Clause 20. The CDMG PHY supports two modulation methods: — A control modulation using MCS 0 of the CDMG Control mode defined in 24.4 — A single carrier (SC) modulation using MCS 1 to MCS 16 of the CDMG SC mode defined in 24.5 and MCS 17 to MCS 23 of the CDMG low-power SC mode defined in 24.6 All CDMG modulation methods share a similar preamble (see 24.3.6). The services provided to the MAC by the CDMG PHY consist of the following protocol functions, defined as follows: a) A function that defines a method of mapping the PHY service data units (PSDU) into a framing format (PPDU) suitable for sending and receiving PSDUs between two or more STAs. b) A function that defines the characteristics and method of transmitting and receiving data through a wireless medium between two or more STAs. Depending on the MCSs, these STAs support a mixture of CDMG SC mode, CDMG low-power SC mode, and CDMG control mode.
