This prestandard contains requirements for emergency service control centres (ESCC) and alarm providers (AP), which are built in a centralised or modular architecture. The responsibilities of the ESCC include the technical reception of signals and warnings, which are transmitted from a protected object because of identified threats, information to be transmitted, which is not part of the scope of DIN EN 50518 (VDE 0830-5-6), e. g. warnings, accompanying /additional information (voice, maps), measure, count and control values, the recording of safety-relevant information from the protected object and the competent processing of information to provide the quickest possible assistance for emergency response.
