Perform series of steels are low carbon microalloyed steels that are thermomechanically rolled. The 550 in the title refers to the minimum yield strength in MPa (80 ksi). The USA equivalent is Perform 80. Developed more than 30 years ago by ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe, PAS steels (low-pearlite special structural steels), from now on offered under the brand name Perform, meet these requirements in full.
