A generic procedure is presented that supports the implementation of the digital transformation of manufacturing companies. The standard applies to all relevant processes and tasks within a manufacturing company and provides decision-makers with an orientation for selecting suitable Industry 4.0 maturity models, with the help of which companies can classify their own maturity level and derive measures if necessary.
