This VDE application guide describes the uniform, justifiable, non-discriminating technical minimum requirements for the operation of metering points which have to be met by metering points operators (MSB) according to § 3 MsbG (Regulation on the operation of metering points) for commercial and official use. In accordance with the MSbG the metering points operator (MSB) specifies the type, number and size of measuring and control equipment and has to take due account of the interests of the utilities, if technically possible.
