Testing of the susceptibility of advanced high strength steel sheets to hydrogen induced cracking - Cup test

€150.00

Details

The Napf test is used to evaluate the susceptibility of AHSS to delayed cracking due to hydrogen-induced stress corrosion cracking. Special consideration is given to production-related influences on the material behavior (e.g. cold hardening by forming, KTL coating) as well as influences from the product life cycle (corrosive load). The test method is based on the removal of formed round bowls in a corrosion medium and the evaluation or analysis of any delayed cracks that may occur.

The Napf test is intended for testing flat steel products for automotive applications, in particular cold-formable multiphase steels in a typical thickness range of 0.7mm to 2.5mm.
