The volume 07.02 also contains standard body measurement tables used for sizing clothing for men, women, children and infants; standard guidelines for care labeling of clothing and other textile products; standards for UV protective fabrics and clothing; and a practice for stitches and seams, which replaced the federal standard for stitch and seam structures of finished articles of clothing used by government and textile industry organizations around the world.

Le ASTM D13 Committee on Textiles was formed in 1914. The D13 meets twice a year, in January and June, with around 200 members participating in three days of technical meetings. The committee has 561 members and currently has jurisdiction over 364 standards, published in the Annual Book of ASTM Standards, volumes 7.01 and 7.02.
