This standard specifices graphical symbols for operating the driving mechanism of disconnectors and earthing switches according to DIN VDE 0670 part 2, mechanical switches according to DIN VDE 0670 part 301 (at present in draft form) and circuit-breakers according to DIN VDE 0670 part 101 to part 108. The purpose of this standard is the uniform use for graphical symbols for the operation of switchgear.
