This interactive online tool provides efficient search and retrieval of all information contained in the EPRD, NPRD, and FMD hardcopy databooks. Containing a built-in search engine, information may be searched on part number, part categories or descriptions, manufacturer, and National Stock Number (NSN). Additional filters are available to specify application environment and quality levels.
Included Databooks
ROADS includes NPRD-2023, NPRD-2016, NPRD-2011, EPRD-2014, EPRD-2024, FMD-2016, and FMD-2013.
The databooks viewable within ROADS will be updated periodically (as new data warrants) and configuration controlled, so that the presented data is always traceable to a specific version of a hardcopy databook. For example, a ROADS subscriber can switch between viewing the NPRD-2023 databook and NPRD-2016.
Descriptions of the Databooks
Nonelectronic Parts Reliability Data (NPRD) presents field failure rate data on a wide variety of mechanical and electromechanical parts and assemblies. The parts cover ground, airborne and naval environments. NPRD-2023 adds 300,000 new failure rate records and 13,000 new components compared to its predecessor. NPRD-2023 is now available through ROADS!
Electronic Parts Reliability Data (EPRD), contains field failure rate data for commercial and military electronic components for use in reliability analyses. Component types include integrated circuits, discrete semiconductors (diodes, transistors, optoelectronic devices), resistors, capacitors, and inductors/transformers.
Failure Mode / Mechanism Distributions (FMD), presents field failure mode and mechanism distribution data on a variety of electrical, mechanical, and electromechanical parts and assemblies. This data can be used to apportion an item’s failure rate into modal elements and assist in the performance of reliability analyses and assessments such as Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).
