What is the AS / EN 9100 series?
The AS / EN 9100 series standards relate to the aerospace industry and ensure quality at all levels of the supply chain.
All the standards of the AS 9100 series are inspired by the ISO 9001 standard on the quality management system. They were built from requirements to produce an internationally harmonized standard that meets the expectations of all aerospace organizations around the world.
Being certified according to AS / EN 9100 proves your organization's ability to meet the demands and needs of potential consumers. The result is increased customer confidence and satisfaction, as well as a competitive advantage, since Tier 1 aerospace OEMs require their suppliers and subcontractors to be certified according to AS / EN 9100.
The standard is broken down into three types of activities:
- EN 9100 for designers and manufacturers of on-board products - EN 9110 for companies with maintenance and repair activities - EN 9120 for storage and distribution companies |
