1.1 This specification covers the chemical, mechanical, and metallurgical requirements for cast titanium-6aluminum-4vanadium alloy (UNS R56406).

Product castings shall conform to the requirements prescribed. Material supplied under this specification shall conform to the mechanical property requirements prescribed. Chemical analysis, product analysis, tension tests, fluorescent penetrant examination, and radiographic examination shall be performed to meet the specified requirements.
