Annex 9 contains Standards and Recommended Practices, and related definitions and appendices concerning the facilitation of international air transport. They are the outcome of Article 37 of the Convention on International Civil Aviation which requires ICAO to adopt international Standards and Recommended Practices dealing with, inter alia, customs and immigration procedures and such other matters concerned with the safety, regularity and efficiency of air navigation.
